These thermoform tiles are made from UV Stabilized .013" thick vinyl plastic. They are designed to provide all the functionality of conventional drop ceiling tiles at a fraction of the weight. The feather-light construction makes them a breeze to install, easy to clean, stain resistant, water resistant, dust free, and eco friendly! Installation is fast and couldn't be any easier.

Designed to fit all standard 15/16" T-Bar Ceiling Systems. Will not fit in a 9/16" grid, please measure the visible width of your grid.

Not recommended for direct mount installation

Most of the thermoform ceiling tiles come in two sizes, 2'x2' and 2'x4', but if you have a 2x4 grid ceiling and would prefer the look of the 2x2 ceiling tiles, simply insert a 2' center T bar available online or at most local hardware stores...it's easy!

5 Year ProShield Warranty
The ceiling tile manufacturer guarantees that your ceiling tiles will be free from manufacturing defects for a period of five years from the date of purchase. Limitations apply. See full warranty information below.

UL Listing/Certification
ProLite ceiling tiles bearing this mark are UL tested and approved drop-out ceiling panels that can be installed beneath fire sprinklers. When exposed to heat from a developing fire, drop-out ceiling panels soften, distort, and fall from the ceiling grid. Heat from the growing fire activates the sprinkler which, unimpeded by the panels, controls or extinguishes the fire.

Highlights:
The Southland 2x4 Grid Tile is a great style if you want to upgrade the look of your current ceiling while maintaining a laid-back feel. You will find that it is a great time saver since it will help you cover twice the space in half the time. Being that it is Class A Fire rated, it is an excellent choice for most businesses and homes. We are also proud to say that it is made in the USA.

Things to Consider:
The Southland tile is not suitable for use as a direct mount tile since it is not flat on the back.

While it is only .013" thick, the embossed design gives it the rigidity and structure needed to support itself in the grid with no sagging. To avoid the risk of sagging, you will want to avoid putting any weight on top of it. If you would like to keep your existing acoustical tile in the grid for insulation or sound barrier purposes, we recommend that you place it above the framework so that it is not in direct contact with the tile.

If your grid is already white and in good condition, it should match the white Southland tile very well. If you are going with a colored option, we highly recommend that you consider the Grid Tape or Grid Strips since they are color coordinated with the ProLite collection. If you would prefer to avoid the extra expense, you can of course paint your grid as well.

Greenguard
Greenguard Gold Certification offers strict certification criteria that considers safety factors to account for sensitive individuals (such as children and the elderly), and ensures that a product is acceptable for use in environments such as schools and healthcare facilities. It is referenced by both The Collaborative for High Performance Schools (CHPS) and the Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) Building Rating System. Click here for more information.

UL Listing/Certification
Certain ProLite ceiling tiles are approved drop-out ceiling panels that can be installed beneath fire sprinklers. When exposed to heat from a developing fire, drop-out ceiling panels soften, distort, and fall from the ceiling grid. Heat from the growing fire activates the sprinkler which, unimpeded by the panels, controls or extinguishes the fire. Click here for more information.

Waterproof
Materials used in the construction of the tile(s) are 100% waterproof.

Class A Fire Rated
Tiles have been tested in accordance with ASTM 84e and scored a Class A rating for flame spread and smoke generation.

Clean look, easy to install!

These ceiling tiles significantly improved our office and turned it from having an industrial feel to a more relaxed setting. They are easy to install, but difficult to cut when installing can lights in the ceiling.

almost perfect

We bought these to replace a fiberboard dropped ceiling. They installed easy, my only concern is that some do not lie perfectly flat against the metal frame. Perhaps, gravity will solve this? But, they look great, are easy to handle and reasonable in cost. We also punched 5 can lights into the panels and it worked like a charm. So, maybe they deserve a five star rating?

Big Improvement in Our Basement

We were overwhelmed with the task of replacing our basement ceiling tiles that had been damaged with a bathroom leak upstairs. However, we took a chance and ordered vinyl tiles. Once we got started, we were very surprised at how easy it was to replace/install the tiles. Tiles that were not damaged were not removed - we simply inserted our new tiles right on top of the old ones, which helps with insulation (noise) and also less trash to dispose of. We had to cut a lot of the tiles to fit the ceiling grid and were very surprised at how easy it was to cut/fit the tiles. Our ceiling looks so updated now. The tiles, if they get wet in the future from a leak (we hope not of course) are easy to wipe off and should not have to be replaced. Very happy with the product.

Looks great and was easy to install

We really like the look (both for the sand and latte colors) and everyone that has stayed in the room have had nothing but positive comments about it. We placed our previous ceiling tiles on top of the new tiles to provide soundproofing and additional insulation. Also used the old tiles to help cut the new tiles for around the perimeter of both rooms (very simple to install). As a recommendation, when cutting the perimeter tiles be sure to have the smooth edge facing the wall and the rough edge facing into the room. Looks much better.

The tiles brightened the whole room!

We originally had the ugly drop down white popcorn tiles, but when we installed the Southland Ceiling tiles it made the whole room feel new and clean. I would definitely recommend! Don, your Customer Specialist was a gem in answering all my questions !!

Let there be light!

Natural daylight from skylights way above the dropped ceiling, once we realized this we had to google if these existed and they do! Its nice to get some natural light in our space with practically none. Thank you!

Looks Great

I went with black tiles and white grid. Looks good. The flexibility of this material creates some challenges during install. Would recommend going to 2x2 grid with this.

Awesome!

So many compliments on this ceiling tile. I used them to update an office that seemed outdated. At first, I kept my grid white as people said they liked the contrast but I am going to either buy the tape or paint it black to match. So easy to cut and place in. With these, you can make cuts you never could with a traditional ceiling tile because of how pliable they are. Would highly recommend.

looks fine but is a low quality tile

The tile looks decent once it is installed in the grid. The tiles are easy to cut but they are more difficult to install in the grid since the tiles are very flimsy. the tiles will only support the lightest LED light fixtures. I think the tiles are very overpriced based on the flimsiness compared to other ceiling tiles I have purchased.

Hi Michael, thank you for taking the time to share your experience! The Southland is one of our eco-friendly tiles, about half the thickness of most decorative vinyl tiles in an effort to save material and costs. For eco-conscious customers or those on a budget, these are often the perfect fit. However, we do have thicker options and some creative ideas to help with weight, so don't hesitate to reach out any questions. Our customer service is top-notch, and anybody here would be happy to help. Thanks again for sharing your review, and for including us in your project!

Quickly covered an angled ceiling

I bought these tiles to go diagonally across a ceiling in a room with angled walls. Using the longer tiles saved me time, material, and money on ceiling grid components. They butted up against Stratford tiles, but looked very complementary. They cut easily, and even as partial tiles I have received a lot of compliments.

Amazing ceiling

These tiles are such an upgrade from the old white crumbly type. Easy to order and easy to install. I've had so many comments. Put them in my basement.
