The CB-1328 Corbel is 16-1/4" tall, 4" wide, 10-1/2" deep, and has a white Primer finish.

These corbels are for decorative use only. These should not be used for any structural support.

Corbels have literally been around since the Stone Age. Their primary purpose was to help carry the weight of buildings - but the Greeks, Romans, and many other cultures helped turn them into true works of art!

Below countertops and cabinets, along doorways and arches, there are countless applications for these beautiful pieces, and they are incredibly easy to install. Made from polyurethane, they are lightweight, easy to handle, and amazingly durable.

uDecor accent features are manufactured with a dense architectural polyurethane compound (not Styrofoam) that allows them to be very durable and 100% waterproof. A major advantage of polyurethane is that it is safe to install in rooms with the presence of moisture like bathrooms and kitchens. This product will not encourage the growth of mold or mildew.

    Painting-
Our accent pieces arrive pre-primed and ready for paint. It is easier to paint the decor before installation. Touch up any imperfections after you are done with the install. ALWAYS test a section with your paint of choice before committing to painting all of your decor. Paint formulations change all the time and you want to be sure there is no adverse interaction between your paint and the primer on the decor.

    Simple Installation-
Accent pieces are installed using architectural adhesive and/or finishing nails. Lightly mark where your decor will be placed. Apply an appropriate adhesive like Loctite Power Grab or PL Premium to the back of the decor. Use low tack painter's tape to secure the decor to the wall while the adhesive sets.

    Finishing The Job-
Use Spackle to fill in nail holes and painters caulk on the edges for a professional finish.

    25 Year Limited Warranty

You're making a beautiful upgrade to your home and we're here to help protect that investment. We guarantee that your polyurethane millwork will be free from manufacturing defects for twenty-five years from the original date of purchase.

    Warranty Conditions and Limitations

This warranty covers material defects in our polyurethane products when used in standard applications where temperatures do not exceed 150°F. It does not cover labor, consequential or incidental damages. This warranty is not transferable and applies to the original purchaser only.

    • Polyurethane products are for decorative uses only.
    • Polyurethane products need a finish coat of paint during installation; it is the purchaser's responsibility to make sure their paint works well with the product (test and let dry on a small piece first).
    • Before installation, allow your polyurethane product to acclimate to room temperature for 15 minutes.
    • All polyurethane moldings must be installed with tight fitting joints (see installation instructions) as well as adhesive between the joints to prevent seams from expanding during changes in season.

    We're Ready to Help

Unlike a car, not much can go wrong with a polyurethane product since polyurethane doesn't absorb moisture and won't be affected by insects. However, in the rare event that you do encounter a defect with your product, we're here and ready to help. Just give us a call and we'll work with you to identify the problem and, in case of defect, supply you with replacements.

    Materials & Tools Needed
Hammer / Finish Nails / Nail Set / 1" Brad Gun
    Adhesive / Caulking Gun
    Tape Measure / Pencil
    Level
    Caulking (paintable latex)
    Sandpaper Coarse / Fine

    Caution
Our polyurethane corbels are decoration only and are not load bearing.

    Getting Started
Lightly mark with a pencil where your decor will be placed using a level to make sure it will be plumb when installed.

Dry fit your pieces before applying the adhesive.

    Painting
Many of our decorative pieces have very intricate details and because of their final location can be very hard to finish once installed. We recommend painting your decor before installing it. You can then touch up any areas that need attention after the installation is complete.

    Adhesive
The adhesive should be beaded along the touching edges of the wall and then a few small nails will hold the decor in place while the adhesive sets. You can use any adhesive that is rated for use with polyurethane (check the back of the label) -- we have had great success using Red Devil Construction Adhesive, Loctite Powergrab and PL Premium Polyurethane Adhesive, all of which work well and are readily available at most home improvement stores.

    Installation
On the back side, run a 1/4" continuous bead of adhesive around the outer edge of the decor.

Place the decor using your marks to align. Verify that the decor is level before firmly pushing into position. If necessary, use masking tape or small finish nails to hold the decor in place until the adhesive dries. Do not nail or screw into our gold products.

Clean up any adhesive mishaps with a cloth.

Apply caulk to the edges to create the appearance that the decor is part the wall. Touch up with paint as needed.
